Hourly Itinerary:
We begin our exciting Tour to the 7 Lakes of Ausangate with a pickup from your hotel in Cusco starting at 05:00 am. We will travel to the beautiful community of Pacchanta, a journey of approximately six hours, during which we will have the opportunity to appreciate the impressive flora and fauna of the high Andean landscapes.
Once in Pacchanta, we will enjoy a nutritious typical regional breakfast. We will have a short break during which our guide will provide detailed information about the upcoming adventure.
After breakfast, we will continue with our walking tour of the 7 Lakes Ausangate. The route covers approximately 11 km and will take us around five hours to explore. During this time, we will visit Laguna Azulqocha, Orco Otorongo, China Otorongo, Puqacocha, Alqacocha, Qomercocha, and Patacocha lagoons, marveling at the majestic mountains such as Ausangate, Mariposa, Jampa, Pucapunta, Caracol, and Tinke.
Along the way, we will have the opportunity to observe native birds, alpacas, llamas, vizcachas, and, with a bit of luck, the majestic Andean condor.
Upon completing the lagoon circuit, we will return to Pacchanta where we will enjoy a delicious local lunch. Then, we will relax in the community’s medicinal hot springs, recovering and recharging after a day of incredible discoveries in the Andes.
Finally, our unforgettable adventure through the 7 Lagunas de Ausangate will conclude with our return to the city of Cusco, arriving approximately at 19:00 hrs.
