Departure from Cusco:

Pick-up time: 4:30 a.m. from your hotel in Cusco.
Transportation: We begin the journey in our comfortable private minibus, which will take us on a pleasant 3-hour drive to the village of Ocefina Huampo Lagoon (4830 m), the starting point of the hike.

Breakfast break:

Upon arrival in the village of Cusipata, we will enjoy a delicious breakfast to fortify ourselves for the day ahead. This is the perfect moment to relax and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Scenic drive to the starting point of the hike:

After breakfast, we will continue our journey in the minibus, passing through picturesque Quechua villages. Along the way, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Vicanota mountain range with its rolling hills and traditional Andean landscape.

Arrival at the starting point of the hike:

We reach the starting point of the hike near the Huampu lagoon (4,830 m), where we begin our hike.

Duration of the hike: approx. 4.5 hours (10 km) go and back to Rainbow Mountain.

Picturesque views: As we ascend, the landscape transforms, offering dramatic views of the surrounding Red Valley and the rugged beauty of the Andean peaks.

Exploring the Red Valley:
