DAY 1:

Cusco – Soraypampa – Humantay Lagoon (Overnight in Cabins)

Your journey begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Cusco. You will travel approximately two hours by private transport to the village of Mollepata. Along the way, enjoy views of local villages such as Izcuchaca and Limatambo, as well as spectacular valleys and the famous snow-covered Salkantay Mountains. Upon arrival in Mollepata, you will have the option to enjoy a delicious Andean breakfast prepared by our specialized cook. After breakfast, continue by private transport for about 45 minutes to reach Soraypampa at an altitude of 3,850 meters above sea level, where the adventure begins.

Putting on your comfortable hiking shoes, you will embark on a 1.5-hour hike to Humantay Lagoon. At the lagoon, you will have ample time to explore and admire its beauty. After spending quality time at the lagoon, you will hike downhill for approximately one hour back to Soraypampa, where you will spend the night in comfortable cabins with beautiful views of the Salkantay Glacier.

Begin a 2-hour hike from Soraypampa to reach the highest point of the trek at Salkantay Pass (4,650 meters / 15,367 feet).
