DAY 1:

Rainbow Mountain 1 Day Tour

Details of the 7 Colors Mountain Tour

We begin from the entrance of your hotel in the historic center of Cusco at an altitude of 3,399 meters (11,152 feet) and conclude at the same location, either at the Plaza Regocijo or Plaza San Francisco.

Between 04:00 a.m. and 04:30 a.m., we will pass by your hotel entrances. If you are staying in a remote area or an Airbnb, we will arrange a meeting point to depart from Cusco at 05:00 a.m..

It is important to note that the streets of Cusco are narrow, so in areas like San Blas, the guide will direct you to a nearby meeting point close to your accommodation.

Journey from Cusco to Cusipata

We will undertake a journey of nearly 2 hours from Cusco to Cusipata, located at an altitude of 3,800 meters (12,467 feet). Here, we will enjoy a delicious Andean breakfast buffet. we have breakfast and lunch in Colca buffet Restaurant.

Tip: Avoid consuming hard-to-digest foods, as we will be at over 5,000 meters (16,404 feet) in altitude.

Trekking to the 7 Colors Mountain

We will continue our journey for approximately 1 hour until we reach the Chillihuani parking area. The hike to the Rainbow Mountain will take around 1 hour and 30 minutes uphill, reaching the foothills of the Red Valley, the access point to this beautiful 7 colors mountain.

We will walk along a trail that gradually transforms the landscape with intensely colored mountains and small cold water streams that nourish and enliven this valley.

If you feel that the trekking is too challenging, we recommend renting horses available for approximately 80 soles.

The Challenge of the 7 Colors Mountain

We will reach an altitude of 5,036 meters (15,750 feet) at the summit of the majestic mountain. At the summit, you will have ample time to take beautiful photos of the colorful landscapes and capture this unforgettable experience.
